It's Fooormidable! Its legendary expression has won us over. Renaissance is privileged to dedicate this wine to Mr Adolf Ogi. A charismatic Swiss personality, inspirational, enthusiastic and an admirer of the riches that nature has to offer.
Slow maceration over 3 to 4 weeks gently extracts the colour and tannins responsible for the structure of this blend. The wine is then matured for several months in vats, during which time the second fermentation takes place. It was then matured for 18 months in barrels.
Dress : Intense crimson red
Nose : The intense bouquet of red fruits is characterised by notes of cocoa and spices mingled with a subtle hint of vanilla that is as elegant as it is discreet.
Mouth : This rich, voluminous wine develops spicy aromas and magnificent mellow tannins that gain in nobility and complexity over time. The very long finish reveals a few woody, cocoa notes born of careful ageing.
