The winery is the soul of the cellar. Here, the freshly harvested grapes begin their transformation into wines that will enhance your shared moments. But what lies behind these steel vats? Why is this place so crucial to wine-making? We take you behind the scenes 🍇
Between tradition and innovation
At Renaissance, we are committed to respecting traditional methods while using the best technologies to express the richness of our Valais terroir. Our winery is equipped with modern stainless steel vats, ideal for controlling each stage of vinification. This precision allows us to reveal all the nuances of our grape varieties, whether it's a light rosé like the Snowflake or a powerful red like Cornalin.
Attention to detail
Each grape variety and each plot deserves special attention. Once the grapes have been sorted and pressed, the real work begins in the winery. Temperature, maceration time, fermentation: nothing is left to chance. The aim? To offer balanced wines that are faithful to our terroir and the story they tell.
A place of passion
What makes our wines different is the people behind them. Behind each vat is a team of enthusiasts who ensure that each vintage is a success. Here, we taste, exchange ideas and make adjustments. In short, we live wine every day!
Vinification in barrels
Barrel vinification is a key stage in giving the wine a unique personality and incomparable aromatic depth. Some of our cuvées spend several months in carefully selected oak barrels, allowing the wine to enrich itself through a subtle exchange between the wood and the juice.
The barrels add delicate notes of vanilla, roasting and spices, while refining the texture of the wine. Ageing in wood also encourages gentle oxygenation, which softens the tannins and produces well-balanced, round and harmonious wines.
Because wine is above all a human adventure 🍷
