Fendant

In Valais, Chasselas has kept its old name of fendant. This is due to the fact that the ripe berry cracks under the pressure of the fingers.
Fendant arrived in Valais in the 19th century and is the canton's main white grape variety.

Traditional vinification in vats

Pale yellow colour with hints of elderflower.
Aromas of lime blossom and gunflint.
On the palate, mineral notes accompany a full, fresh finish.
Serving temperature: 7-9°.

A perfect aperitif wine, it also goes wonderfully with raclette or a good fondue.
