Humagne Rouge

Known in Valle d'Aosta as Cornalin, red humagne has no similarity to Oriou, despite persistent legends to the contrary. As a very late-ripening variety, it needs plots with a warm, generous climate for optimum quality.

Vinification in vats and wooden eggs

Ruby red colour.
Nose of ivy leaves, violets and a fine spicy note.
On the palate, a rustic wine with powerful tannins and an aroma of red berries and oriental spices.
Serving temperature: 12-15°.

A wine to pair with a Valais chamois stew or very strong cheeses.
