Johannisberg
AOC Valais
Johannisberg was first mentioned in Valais in 1862. Its name certainly comes from the Château de Johannisberg in the Rheingau region. Blanc du Rhin appeared at the same time and corresponds to Sylvaner. Johannisberg from the Valais has been protected since 1966 and is now the second most famous Valais white wine in Switzerland.
Slow, gentle pressing, an initial fermentation at a low temperature of 18°C and eight months in vats, during which malolactic fermentation takes place in part, guarantee maximum length for this wine while preserving the finesse and freshness of its aromas.
